Top 5 ads and sentences for them
Obviously, bird's eye view was used here. Also, I think that juxtaposition may have been  used to place the items in the baby's hands. I like this because kids of other color are told that they will only amount to this or that, which i think is horrible.
The only digital technique here was looking right at the actress head-on. If any photoshop was used it would be to color the woman's hands and to make her appear almost ill to get the point across. I like this series because my great Aunt Linda, whom i was very close to, died at 50, due to lung cancer. She sat in the house and waited to go, all because she smoked. It was terrifying knowing what a 2 inch piece of filled paper can do to a person.
This piece may not have used any photography techniques, but it had to have used photoshop. I don't think that it is physically possible for someone to be that thin, so maybe photoshop was used to make her even thinner and defined, or maybe she was just tweaked until she looked nothing like her old self, as she turned into the model image. I like this because it shows that anorexia isn't a "diet" or a "fashion" but a real disease.
This used a close up photo technique, and photoshop to place the manatee. This hits me hard because I love animals and just looking at this makes me feel sick, but knowing that people actually kill creatures while living for profit makes me so upset that this is what humans have come to.
Photoshop was definitely use to juxtapose the hand in this woman's back pocket, and the photo technique may just be getting down on their level. But this image really makes you think. I think about all of the girls out there who are young and new to the internet and internet chat. And how the meet someone who is "their age" and it puts them in danger.
Five artists compare/contrast: Andy Warhol, Roy Lichenstein, Pablo Picasso, Daniel Guido and JR.
Warhol, Lichtenstein, an Picasso all use eautifully bright colors. Daniel Guido uses hands as his art form, and JR uses photos of real people for his projects. While these are all completely different artists, they all do some pretty different work.  All of them have something to do with the people and things on this planet, while still being different. Warhol used pop culture of his time, Lichtenstein made comic books even more popular by turning them into art, Picasso used cubism and other shapes to create abstract art that spoke to everyone differently. Daniel Guido used hands to make animals seem so beautiful in their own way. JR changed the way that I look at things, his artwork showed me that without photoshop, everyone is still beautiful. But while they have their differences, there are a few similarities. Daniel Guido and JR both use photography. JR is more of a social statement, but, if you look at Daniel Guido like I do, you will see that he is making random animals seem beautiful. Warhol, Livhtenstein, and Picasso all use beautiful colors that make the art pop. By doing this, they make the art stand out. Also, their art makes you wonder what it really means.
What i learned in this class/My favorite projects
I learned how to be myself in this class. I feel more outgoing and I'm so relaxed at this time of the day. I also reopened my passion for art. Yes, I learned photography and photoshop techniques. But, i believe that there was more to this class than some think. My favorite digital project was the realistic cartoons. It was easy but challenging, and was a lot of fun. It really tested my skills in photoshop. My favorite studio project was the scratchboard. It was interesting and unique, and also a lot of fun. I really liked how they turned out amazing even if you messed up. It made me feel like even mistakes make my art beautiful.
