For these pictures, i used the blur tool and i enhanced the apple.

For this image, i wanted to single out the fish and its props. So, i used the magnetic lasso on the fish, the bubbles, and the seaweed. I enhanced the fish and changed the background to b&w as well as blurring it.

To edit this picture, i used the doge & burn tool to edit the front dog and blurred out the back dog.

10 Food Photography Tips:

  1- Get as much natural light as you can

  2- Pay attention to the background as well, not JUST the food

  3- Get up close

  4- Take pictures from different angles

  5- Cut into the food, take a bite

  6- Don't take away from the subjects

  7- Small props can make a BIG difference

  8- Turn off the flash

  9- Fill the entire frame

I placed a sky as the background and placed my eye over it. Next, I used the lasso tool to select my eye that i wanted to change and erased it. The sky then showed through.

Campaign Assignment

My campaign was to support pitbulls. 

I chose this topic because many people think that pit bulls are the meanest dogs out there. Yes, they do tend to be in dog fights more often than a golden retriever, but it isn't the pit bulls fault. The owners train them to be vicious, whereas they can grow up to be loving. I have had pit bulls since i was four years old and have never been bitten or growled at. I chose this topic to show that this minority breed can be the sweetest and most loyal.

Statistics and Facts:

-In temperament testing, different variations of “Pit Bull Breeds” actually test better than common family pets like Dachshunds, Collies, Golden Retrievers, and Cocker Spaniels.

-In the early 20th century, Pit Bulls were the number 1 family pet.

-Pit Bulls are not naturally aggressive. Like any dog, however, they may react aggressively under stressful circumstances. Any animal’s behavior is going to be impacted by abuse, neglect, and other negative situations.

-No single neutered household pet Pit Bull has ever killed anyone.

For this photo, i used the polygonal lasso tool to outline myself, inverted it, and then erased the outsides. Next i placed myself and then erased my photo around the arm of the man.

For this picture, i changed the filter to b&w, used the lasso tool, placed myself, and erased excess parts of the photo.

For this image, i {attempted} to make the colors match, then i again used the lasso tool to outline myself, inverted the selection, and erased the outside remains of the photo.
