My campaign was to support pitbulls.
I chose this topic because many people think that pit bulls are the meanest dogs out there. Yes, they do tend to be in dog fights more often than a golden retriever, but it isn't the pit bulls fault. The owners train them to be vicious, whereas they can grow up to be loving. I have had pit bulls since i was four years old and have never been bitten or growled at. I chose this topic to show that this minority breed can be the sweetest and most loyal.
Statistics and Facts:
-In temperament testing, different variations of “Pit Bull Breeds” actually test better than common family pets like Dachshunds, Collies, Golden Retrievers, and Cocker Spaniels.
-In the early 20th century, Pit Bulls were the number 1 family pet.
-Pit Bulls are not naturally aggressive. Like any dog, however, they may react aggressively under stressful circumstances. Any animal’s behavior is going to be impacted by abuse, neglect, and other negative situations.
-No single neutered household pet Pit Bull has ever killed anyone.
